PM Fasal Bima Yojana: This scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 18 February 2016. Insurance cover is available under this scheme in case of crop failure. Which helps in stabilizing the income of the farmers.
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) is a scheme under which the loss of crops due to any disaster is covered. This scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 18 February 2016. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, so far more than 36 crore farmer applicants have been insured under the scheme and till February 4 this year, more than Rs 1,07,059 crore claims have been paid. About 85 percent of the farmers enrolled in this scheme are small and marginal farmers.
How to apply?
To take advantage of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, farmers can apply both online and offline. For online application, registration has to be done on the official website of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, pmfby.gov.in. For this, all the information asked during registration will have to be filled. At the same time, to apply offline, you can take advantage of this insurance scheme from any nearest bank.
How To Apply for Fasal Bima Yojana /application system –
Step1 Visit the official website of PMFBY
Step 2 Click on Farmers Corner on the homepage
Step 3Now login with your mobile number and if you don’t have account then login as guest farmer
Step 4Enter all the required details like name, address, age, state etc.
Step 5 Finally click on submit button.

- Bank account number linked with Aadhar.

- Farm Khasra Number
- Farmer’s residence certificate.
